Corpus Christi in bronze, so-called Jansenist version, arms up, named after the

Korpus Christi in Bronze, sog. jansenistische Ausführung, Arme nach oben; benannt nach dem Theologen Cornelius Jansen, bzw. Jansenius, 1585 - 1638), dessen Lehre durch versch. Päpste als Irrlehre verboten war und auch diese Darstellung der Kreuzigung lange in der katholischen Kirche untersagt war. Die Figur selbst im 3 Nagel Typus, der rechte Fuß über den linken gelegt, das Heil siegt über das Irdische, fast alle gotischen Darstellungen sind im 3 Nagel Typus. Hier vorliegend eine extrem fein detaillierte und proportional sehr ausgewogene Christusfigur in vollplastischer Darstellung. Das Stück ist ein Unikat, die Gerüststangen (Stützgestell) sind noch in der Figur. Lt. Einlieferer über einhundert Jahre alt, stammt diese Skulptur aus dem oberbayerischen Raum; hochwertige und sehr feine Arbeit wie sie nur sehr selten zu finden ist. H= 93cm B= 40cm Gew= 17kg.
