Early 20th Century Folk Art Carved Palm Stump Florida Table. A piece of St. Petersburg history, the table once belonged to Flora Wylie - who in 1928 became the first president of the St. Petersburg Garden Club. The tree came from the park named after her, on Beach Drive in St. Petersburg. The table is constructed from a palm stump which was hand carved and the top is built from southern pine. The table has an old dark finish and has a few pieced repairs. Added strips of wood have been added to the base to keep it level, due to years of drying and shrinking. Has some apparent old bug damage. Measures 21 ½" high and the top measures 23" x 21".
