Antique 19th Century Floral Applique Tulip Quilt

Appliqué 19th Century Tulip and Floral Quilt. The hand made appliqué quilt with 30 hand pieced tulip panels, has a finely appliqued and stitched border of repeating multicolored vining florals. The turkey red and rich green colors are strong and vibrant and the quilt has a tiny floral print calico back. The early mid 19th century quilt is in very good, it is as crisp as the day it was made and most likely was never used. There is some minor and light discoloration from age. Any age discoloration could easily be removed with proper hand washing. Fabric is strong and shows no wear or weakness and there is no fabric deterioration from iron dye. Measures 87" long x 76" wide.
