Estate Collection of Jane N. Smith - Women's Suffrage Movement Pins and Rings. The collection includes an R. Lalique gilt bronze "Orphelinat des Armees" war medal, circa 1915. The medal was presented to Mrs. Smith for her adoption of a French child during WWI. Also included is a 1917 New York military census agent pin, a National League for Women's Service gold eagle pin, a Women's Liberty Loan committee pin for which JNS was Captain #7069 - 4th Loan, another pin from the Liberty Loan Committee and another pin from United War Work Campaign. Also included are 2 rings, one made for Helen Norman Smith, the adopted French daughter. Written on the back in blue ink "Momentos of WWI one ring made for Helen Norman Smith by Belgian soldier of aluminum, from the tip of a shell - 1916
