Carved Thornwood 19C Sterling Collar Whippet Cane

Carved Whippet Dog 19th Century Cane with Sterling Collar. The finely carved whippet or greyhound head has glass eyes. The cane is hand carved from thornwood or some other dark exotic hardwood with the same coloration of rosewood. There is some minor wear, mostly on the ears. The shaft of the cane has a collar form sterling sleeve with buckle and rivets and is marked "Sterling 925 Fine". Lacking metal tip on the end. Measures 34" long.
