Turned Whale Bone and Sterling 1889 Walking Stick. The walking stick has a shaped sterling collar and is engraved "From Meppel Holland C Westervelt" and is dated 1662 and 1889. The Westervelt family whose family members included a listed early 20th century artist, were based in East Hampton, New York. The cane is in good condition with some age cracks and staining to the whale bone. Measures 32" long.
