The silk on linen ground sampler features a whimsical vine border and five different embroidered alphabet style samples wrought by Miss Betsey Butterfield who was born Jan the" 29th, anno domini 1796. In good overall condition, with some minor silk floss loss and fading. Measures 16" high x 17 ¾" wide.
