Signed J.A. Johnston 1939 Lighted Golfers Diorama

Dated 1939 Golf Folk Art Golfers Diorama with Lighted Case. The unusual handmade golfing diorama is signed bottom right J.A. Johnston" and dated '39. The finely hand painted background depicts a blue skylit mountain range landscape with a large" clubhouse which looks like a French Chalet, although it appears to have an American flag on the roof. Could possibly be Palm Springs, California. Encased in the original painted black cabinet case with an overhead light that is in good working condition. There is some crazing on the figures and along the bottom of the background. Diorama measures 20" high, 18" wide and 10 ½" deep.
