Artist BiographyMichael Tienhaara is a mostly self taught artist from Portland, Oregon. He began as a printmaker, and then began training with individual artists, including Michael Schofield. His interest in painting then began. His style developed into a kind of highly abstract expressionism, and loose impressionism. He describes some of his work as "planned expressionistic accidents." His inspiration is drawn from nature, and a touch from his imagination. Tienhaara currently works in Las Vegas, Nevada. His art has sold nationally and internationally, and continues to draw interest among collectors. *
