PATTERN 1832 GENERAL AND STAFF OFFICER'S SWORD BY N.P. AMES, 32in blade with center fuller. Blade is etched with panels of military motifs. Grip of sheet silver. Blade is marked at ricasso N.P. Ames, Cutler, Springfield in three lines. Gold gilt brass pommel, knuckle bow, crossguard and cupped. Metal scabbard with two carrying rings.
