EXCEEDINGLY RARE 1898 EMBOSSED COCA-COLA TIN SIGN

Sign In to see what this sold for

26 1/4" X 19 1/2", framed under Plexiglas; believed to be one of only two known examples, and the better of the two by significant measure; even though this displays a number of bends and crimps, shallow dents, surface rust in mostly the bottom 3" and some perimeter trimming with tack holes at the perimeter, this is still a great example; the colors and tone are rich and soft and certainly evoke an early period in the history of Coca-Cola; highlights the health claims, a 5 cent price, beautiful graphics, early primitive Coca-Cola logo and wonderful overall script design of the other lettering, this sign features about everything you could want or desire in such an early pre-1900 piece; this piece was discovered in New England and acquired by the museum in 1989; condition G
