A MONUMENTAL VIENNA STYLE IRIDESCENT-RUBY GROUND VASE AND STAND
Late 19th / 20th century, blue beehive mark, impresses 2432, signed L. Goger.
Of baluster form with flaring neck and socle base, finely painted after Thomas Gainsborough with a portrait of Mr. and Mrs. William Hallett and a white spitz strolling in a wooded landscape, reserved within an oval gilt surround and enriched allover with trailing branches of chrysanthemum and carnations, on a conforming circular plinth gilt with branches and floral swags.
45 in. (114.3 cm.) Thomas Gainsborough, British (1727-1788)

good condition with normal age wear.
