PARKE EDWARDS; Rare wrought-iron firescreen inscribed East West Hames Best, Philadelphia, 1913; Provenance: Collection of Peter Renzetti; Unsigned; 32'' x 42''; Note: The screen was completed by Edwards while he was studying at the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art, under the tutelage of Samuel Yellin. It is documented in Edwards' scrapbook in the Parke Edwards Collection at the Athenaeum of Philadelphia. Special thanks to Robert Edwards in the cataloguing of this lot.
