PAUL CANNELL (1963-2005) OIL PAINTING - Abstract oil on canvas by acclaimed artist Paul Cannell. This particular piece uses blue, green, red, yellow and orange shades of paint that have been applied in a gesturely style to create a dramatic composition of loosely geometric forms (as well as a striking texture). The painting is abstract and, as with most of Cannell's work, it really is open to the viewer's own interpretation. The canvas has been stretched over wooden framework that measures 115 x 160cm. This work comes from the personal collection of Alan McGee (who was a friend of Cannell) and will be sold with a letter of authenticity from Alan detailing where and when he purchased the painting.
