(9¾x13¾").Rare souvenir containing a comprehensive overview of Colorado mining, including its history, methodology, leading figures, the mines themselves, etc., with a plethora of illustrations; among the numerous advertisements, most for Denver businesses, is a full-page ad for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad (Reaches all the Important Mining Camps in Colorado and New Mexico") with a map covering most of Colorado and large portions of Utah, New Mexico and Arizona. Lacking the wrappers, the front wrapper bore the subtitle - the title-page has only the simple title "Colorado Mines," with imprint on verso.
