First Edition.Original subscription receipt and receipt for inclusion of a "copper-plate engraving" of the subscriber (C. G. Mayborn of Emeryville, CA) mounted to front pastedown. A halftone photo likeness of Charles G. Mayborn is found opposite page 659. Pagination error omits p. 1218/1219 with no interruption of text.
