Description: [2], 17 pp., [19]-75 leaves (printed on rectos only). 30.5x24 cm. (12x9½"), red boards, modern morocco spine. Limited to 100 copies.Presentation copy inscribed on the verso of the front free endpaper, "Rev. W.I. Budington, D.D., with regards of Jas. F. Hunnewell." Only three copies of Hunnewell's bibliography have sold at auction since 1975, according to American Book Prices Current, and only one of those was inscribed. Copies of the book seldom appear on the open market - about two-thirds of the 100 printed are known to be in institutional libraries. The Rev. Dr. William Ives Budington (1814-1879), to whom the present copy is inscribed, graduated from Yale in 1834,was ordained Pastor of the First Congregational Church, Charlestown, Mass. for 14 years, and was Pastor of Clinton Ave. Congregational Church in Brooklyn, NY from 1855 till his death.
