Wallen, relating to the country and the Indians in the area between Fort Dalles and Salt Lake. The year 1860 was a bad one for immigrants along the Snake River. Almost the entire train of forty-six persons wee killed in the running fight that began near Salmon Falls on September 9 and is described in the above document..." - Wagner-Camp 373. House Ex.
