Author: ** Description: Brass medal, approx. 27 mm. diameter, reeded edge.Obverse: Bearded bust, facing right. Inscription above the bust "HON. ABRAHAM LINCOLN", below the bust the date "1860", the die-sinker's name "ELLIS" in small letters below the shoulder. Reverse: A country scene representing Lincoln and a helper splitting rails, a log cabin on the right, inscription "THE RAIL-SPLITTER OF THE WEST" above.
