(4to) 11¾x8½, original half morocco & blue cloth, decorated & titled in gilt on front cover and spine. In later custom slipcase. First Edition.Inscribed and signed by the author on front free endpaper: "To my dear Niece, Miss Annie Barnes, By the writer, Myron Angel. San Luis Obispo, California. Christmas, 1898." The earliest published history of this Central California county. Condition report

Rubbing to spine, portion of spine surface near foot beginning to peel, spine head chipped, boards moderately scuffed; some foxing to first few pages; else very good and much nicer than usually seen.
