First Edition, First Printing.Text is expanded from The Yosemite Book, published in 1868. Calling card of Lieut. Col. R. S. Williamson, U.S.A. Corps of Engineers mounted to front free endpaper. Robert Stockton Williamson (1825-1882), was a topographer who worked, among other projects, on the Pacific Railroad survey. Mt.
