This beautiful art is all hand carved from natural Mammoth Ivory. This a carving of 2 fairies as taken from chinese culture and folklore. Very rare and unique. Size(with wooden base): Wide: 6 inch, Deep: 7 inch, High: 6 inch. About the Mammoth Ivory: Mammoth Ivory is a hard, white, organic substance that is the bulk of the teeth and tusks of Mammoth Elephant. Raw Mammoth Ivory is mainly from Russia. Unlike Elephant Ivory, the mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius, is extinct, therefore, according to U.S Fish and Wildlife Department, Mammoth Ivory can be legally traded in the United States, as well as internationally.
