100% Genuine Mammoth ivory handcrafted Chinese Moon Goddess Carving, size: 9-3/4" x 4-1/2"x 2" (250mm x 115mm x 50mm). The size of wood stand is 5-3/4" x 3" x 1-1/2" (120mm x 76mm x 38mm) . Chang'e or Chang-Ngo is the Chinese goddess of the moon. Unlike many lunar deities in other cultures who personify the moon, Chang'e only lives on the moon. As the "woman on the Moon", Chang'e could be considered the Chinese complement to the Western notion of a man in the moon. This carving is carved by our artisan. The carving is very detail and wonderful workmanship.
