Length: 18" Sterling Silver Necklace. Measures: .70" Diameter. Metal: Sterling Silver Frame. This sterling silver pendant holds a bronze Prutah coin from the region of Judaea. The front of the coin features an excellent image of the date palm, a famous symbol of Judaea which carried meanings of abundance and plenty, dignity, honor, victory and jubilation. The coin was minted under the ruler Porcius Festus, the procurator designated by the Roman emperor to oversea the region. It was before Festus that the apostle Paul had his final hearing. Festus sought to induce Paul to go to Jerusalem for trial. Paul appealed to the Emperor, and he was deported to Rome in the autumn of 58 AD (Acts 25-26). The pendant measures .70 inches in diameter. Comes complete on an 18" sterling silver necklace. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.
