(Arthur, editor) The Savoy. An Illustrated Monthly, Nos.1-8 bound in 3 vol. [all published], first issue with Chiswick Press imprint on verso of title of No.2, plates and illustrations by Beardsley, Beerbohm, Blake, Rothenstein, Whistler, Shannon and others, with the Beardsley Christmas card tipped into vol.1, a little spotting and browning, with duplicate covers and titles to nos. 1 & 2 tipped to originals with tape at edges (one or two tears), a few leaves lightly browned and frayed at edges where uncut, original indigo pictorial cloth, gilt, uncut, a little rubbed and marked, spines slightly darkened but a good set, 4to, Leonard Smithers, 1896; together with the 1p. autograph manuscript of the Editorial Note to No.2 by Symons (a few corrections in purple ink, creased, a little browned and frayed at edges), plus 2 A.Ls.s. from him (one to a publisher concerning a prospective series of articles on Georgian Poets, another to Katharine Baldwin)
