***Catalogue of the first international surrealist exhibition organized by Roland Penrose, Herbert Read, André Breton, Paul Eluard, Man Ray, E.L.T.Mesens, Salvador Dali and others, most of whom also contributed to the exhibition. It was opened by Breton, attended by several thousand during its run and included lectures by several of the contributors. "Dali's lecture was delivered whilst wearing a deep-sea diving suit.
