DATE: 1900's DESCRIPTION: 1900's Hartley & Graham Sword, very ornate, etched brass, scrimshaw monogrammed handle with crown above monogram and 2 olive branches around monogram, at the top of the handle is a brass knight's helmet with a chain guard extending from the knight's helmet to the hilt, hilt has raise maltese cross in middle of hilt on both sides, the name of the owner is etched into the sword's blade ''A.M. Fairchild'' and the top of the blade is engraved solingen and on the other side Hartley and Graham, the scabbard has antique brass ornate decorative sections, top section of scabbard has a blue enameled crown over a red cross on the antique brass with a man embossed on the top and on the back of the upper portion is marked Hartley and Graham New York, the middle section of the scabbard below the brass is an ornate etched soldier on horse carrying a sword and spear, the middle ornate brass section has a man of the cloth with a large cross around his neck and carrying a staff in walking motion, the section beneath the man is ornately etched with scrollwork, the bottom of the antique brass piece has rooster on a shield with swords and arrows behind the shield SIZE: Sword measures approx. 35''L
