Date: 1950's-1960's Vintage Description: Vintage Masonic Master of the Lodge Hat from the late Robert Harold Bowman Estate in Phoenix Arizona 32nd degree Mason of the AZTLAN Lodge of Prescott, AZ, embroidered inside of hat is his name ''R. H. Bowman'' and stamped on the headband is C.E. Ward Co. New London OH, the front of this black hat has the double headed Masonic Eagle and atop its head is a red triangle with the number 32 in it signifying his degree, the hat has a gold double braided cord over the top secured on either side with gold double headed Masonic Buttons, hat comes in its own monogrammed carrying case with R.H. Bowman on the front of it, Masonic hats worn by the Master of the Lodge signify his authority of his rank and status...the origins of which go back over many centuries. The wearing of a hat by the Worshipful Master alludes to the crown that adorned the head of King Solomon. This hat and box is in pristine condition, headband is pulled loose in one area SIZE: Inside hat measurement is approx. 21'' and handled case measures 8.5'' x 9''
