Framed oil on panel, Farmer Plowing His Field, circa 1850s, Hudson River School (19th century), unsigned, panel: 4.25''h x 6.25'', overall: 9.5''h x 11.5''w. Provenance: Estate of Robert Collins (1851-1922). Mr. Collins was a noted American engraver that lived and worked on Long Island, NY. Note: Accompanied by correspondence from Geoffrey K. Fleming of the Southhold Long Island Historical Society, as well as a descendant of Collins.
