Chinese famille noire enameled lobed porcelain vase, late Qing/Republic period, of quatrelobe form with yellow and aubergine lotus accompanied by green bats and scrolling tendrils on a black ground, the diaper-patterned shoulder band with lobed reserves of antiquities tied in ribbons, 13.75''h; Provenance: Deaccession USC Fisher Museum of Art, Los Angeles, California, to benefit the Acquisitions Fund

Condition report

Lobed Vase: interior of the mouth soiled, scattered with fine kiln grit and wear to glaze along the edges; the shoulder somewhat rough to the touch due to fine kiln grit; short kiln firing crack to the base on the edge of the foot rim; some iridescence to the glaze; otherwise no apparent chips, repairs and/or restorations
