Pen and ink of female nudes - signed and dated 1949 lower right, 15" high x 20" wide, small edge loss/tear and a 1.25" tear to edge, two slightly creased corners, possible ink smudge. Pen and Ink of cubist figures - signed lower right and dated 1952, 15" high x 19.5" wide, general edge roughness with tears 2" or less. Felt-tip drawing of figures in conversation, signed and dated 1957 lower right, 17" high x 14" wide, 2 minor corner creases. 5 additional felt-tip drawings all signed and dated 1956 or 1957. Grippe was a member of "The Club" of abstract expressionist that included Robert Motherwell, Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning, among other prominent mid 20th C. artists. Peter J.
