A handwritten brochure by Paul Hessemer, titled 'In the Mowing, by Winslow Homer, N.A., 1836-1910,' appears to have been produced specifically for the original painting, and cites part of its provenance. Outlines Homer's life. Privately bound with gilt printing on cover, moire front and end pieces. Certainly one-of-a-kind.

Shows mild wear and toning, some wear around cover edges.
