19th century, burl walnut case, each heavy silver mount marked with lion passant and other hallmarks, central lid with crown over 3rd Bn R.I. Wexford Melitia; sliding silver lock opens to reveal divided humidor, cedar lined, silver lock marked: "Dobson & Sons, 32 Picadilly, London, W."; center of open lid with silver plaque reading: "The Burial of Sir John Moore At Coruna, Not a drum was heard, Not a Funeral Note, As his Corpse to the Rampart we buried, Not a Soldier discharged his farewell shot O'er the grave where our hero we buried.", includes several cigars. Condition reportMinor surface scratches to box.
