Measures: 1.25" Diameter. Metal: Sterling Silver Frame. Celtic ring money from the era of 600-400 BC. Excellent Celtic bronze ring money with original patina. The ring has a scarce knobbed design and was used as currency before the introduction of the coins in the Eastern Danube region and the Black sea area by the Eastern Celts. The Celts were led by independent chieftains ruling their own geographical regions. Along with their reputations of chivalry, courage and bravery the Celts had great sensitivity to the arts and philosophy. Highly unusual at the time, the Celts viewed both men and women with equality. Celtic Ring Money is set in a sterling silver frame about 1.25" in diameter. Includes a descriptive brochure with Certificate of Authenticity.
