Chain: 18" Sterling Silver Necklace. Measures: .60" Diameter. Metal: Sterling Silver Frame. The famous Widow`s Mite coin is referenced in the gospels of both Luke and Mark, which tell the story of the widow who gave all she had in an offering, prompting Jesus to say, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them; for they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all the living that she had. Minted prior to 29 A.D., the front of the coin features a crude star which symbolized heaven. The coin is approximately .5 inch in diameter, and is set in sterling silver. Includes 18" sterling silver necklace. Coin includes descriptive brochure and Certificate of Authenticity.
