Black Forest Kitty Wall Pocket

Carved from one piece of wood is this poor little kitten peering over the top just waiting for someone to come along and rescue him from his entrapment. The artist carved the wood to look like a woven basket and captured a great expression on the kitten's face. The yellow glass eyes add to his forlorn look. 6 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 7 1/4" high. 1890 - 1910
