Large Italian carved alabaster sculpture depicting a nude female sitting on a panther with collar. After the work titled "Ariadne on the Panther" by Johann Heinrich von Dannecker (GERMANY/1758-1841). Very finely sculpted. 19th century. Measures 25" height x 24" length (63.5cm x 60.9cm).
