The gilt bronze mounts intricately embellished in vinework, the guard with the arms of Austro-Hungary, the grip with sharkskin covering and gripwires intact. The leather-covered scabbard with three gilt bronze mounts, the locket containing the monogram of Emperor Franz Josef I. The lightly curved, single-edged blade with narrow fuller, struck at the left forte, GARANT. ECHT C.E. SOLINGEN, and at the right forte, J. BLAZINCIC WIEN. Late 19th century. Wear to leather, chape pinched. Overall length 73.5 cm. Condition II
