Forged entirely of steel, the hilt comprising an oval guard with scalloped edge and bud-shaped quillon finials, the baluster grip with expanded and recurved pommel with knobbed finial, the knucklebow a clever continuation of the guard.With well-forged and lightly recurved double-edged blade.Early 17th century. The hilt patinated, blade pitted. Overall length 37 cm. Condition III
