Probably German, the graceful hilt finely forged of lenticular-section bars, the pommel formed as a tapering cylinder. The wooden grip retains its original silver wire wrap and turksheads. The long, double-edged blade forged with a rectangular forte and flattened diamond-section throughout. First quarter of the 17th century. Guard slightly loose. Overall length 125 cm. Condition II
