With characteristic wooden grip set with brass ferrule, studs, and pommel, the latter marked with the crown of the Commonwealth and the Canadian beaver, with CANADA MILITIA. The sturdy, single-edged blade with long back edge, In its black leather-covered scabbard with brass mounts, original buff leather frog intact. The scabbard, frog and blade with profuse ordnance marks.Early 20th century. The term Canada Militia was in use between 1867-1940. Overall length 50.3 cm. Condition II
