The broad, single-edged,recurved blade chiseled with a talisman and inscribed, WORK OF AL HAJ IBN HAM ITS OWNER MALIK HASSAN AGHA LA FATHA LA ALI LA SAIF LA DHULFAQAR [sic]1285 [1868c.e.] The rubbed velvet-covered wooden scabbard with large brass mounts. Third quarter of the 19th century. Grips with stable cracks, light wear overall. Overall length 74.1 cm. Condition II
