With symmetrical staghorn grip with flared and stepped bolsters, carved with a pious Arabic inscription to the obverse and endless knot motif to the reverse; the curved, double-edged blades etched overall with pious Arabic inscriptions. A type commonly used by the Samaniyya Sufis under Mahdi Muhammad Ahmad. Last quarter of the 19th century.Overall length 51.2 cm. Condition I
