With an elongated shaft and bud-form head, and eight short, broad flanges separated from a series of corresponding spurs by a molded ring. Elaborately profiled and chiseled overall with geometrical motifs as well as vinework and split palmette borders. 12th century. Light wear. From the Arthur M. Sackler Collection, via the Sackler Foundation, acquired c. 1940, deaccessioned 1988-89. Overall length 20.3 cm. Condition I
