Retaining the form of its bronze predecessor, the tapered socket faceted and engraved with geometrical borders. The head forged with eight fully-developed flanges, each terminating in a profiled spur. 14th century. Light wear. From the Arthur M. Sackler Collection, via the Sackler Foundation, acquired c. 1940, deaccessioned 1988-89. Overall length 16.4 cm. Condition I
