A hook worn on a mounted warrior’s belt to one side of the buckle, over which the reins were looped in order to free both hands for combat. Carved from a single section of pale green jade, the terminal a fine fully-modeled tiger’s head with ruby eyes set in gold. Beginning of the 17th century.Overall length 7.6 cm. Condition I
