With characteristic loop hilt, finely forged in steel with fluted guard surmounted by a fully-modeled lion, with a lion’s head at the base. The well-forged blade recurved and double-edged.Early 17th century.Blade with areas of pitting.Overall length 27.7 cm. An ancient form of dagger designed to be concealed in the sleeve. Its name means “scorpion sting” in Hindi. Condition II
