The staghorn grip of characteristic form, elaborately carved with aso and tuba motifs with hair tassels set in sockets on the pommel, the grip of finely-woven rattan. The hardwood scabbard with carved aso and tuba panels, with sections of pitch-adhered multicolored hair tassels and a finely-woven rattan binding at either end.The heavy, handforged blade finely faceted and chisel-edged.First half of the 20th century.Minor losses to tassels.Overall length 62.4 cm. Condition II
