Sign In to see what this sold for

Of characteristic form, well carved of a single large section of black-veined green jade and set with 11 cabochon rubies and a large faceted center stone, likely white sapphire or diamond. Each stone bordered in gold vinework, those at the center forming a five-petaled flower. Late 18th century. Archer’s rings were worn on the thumb wherever the Mongolian release was used. Early on, elaborate examples wrought of the finest materials also became items of prestige amongst royalty and nobility and were worn at court throughout Asia and Near East. Overall length 4.8 cm.
