Typically known by British troops during the Afghan Wars as a Khyber knife. An exceptional example for size and quality, with well-fitted grips and elegant iron bolsters, the sword-sized blade with T-back and chamfered cutting age, tapering continuously to the acute tip, and forged of fine, actively-patterned wootz damascus steel. Beginning of the 19th century. Light wear. Overall length 83.7 cm. Condition I
